Q1. AI is not picking up everything up in the template.

Check that you are using the correct CA-V2 Template, which must include the following sections: Purpose, Preliminary Questions (if necessary), Legal Research (if needed) Template, and Rules.

We have found that prompts using additional sections such as “assumptions” or “steps” or “instructions” may not be processed correctly by AI. Q2. How do square brackets guide the AI’s interpretation of a prompt?

The AI model is generally smart enough to distinguish between static and instructional text. However, it is best practice to wrap instructions in square brackets. It signals clearly to the AI that the content is a placeholder or instruction, improving consistency and formatting.

Q3. Why does the AI use a bullet point style?

The markdown format is generally defaulted to bullet point style, unless explicitly defined otherwise in your prompt. If you would prefer numbering, hyphens (-), asterisks (*), or no bullet points at all, ensure you include this in the template rules.

Q4. Why do we need to add LEAP Fields?

Using LEAP fields to automatically populate prompt templates with content loaded in a LEAP matter, including LEAP Tables, enables you to populate prompt templates accurately with important information, such as parties’ names, contact details and relevant dates. Q5. The output is not exactly what is needed. What should I do?

The output of AI might be slightly different each time. We recommend you reload the prompt and review the output again. Otherwise, test and refine the output.
