Why use InfoTrack in the All Agent?
Why use InfoTrack in the All Agent?
Confirming who you are dealing with, and what they own, is core to client and matter due diligence. Before onboarding a client, acting for a party on a transaction, or advising on a deal, you often need to verify property ownership, company and director details, vehicle records, or a person's identity and risk profile, and to do the same for the other side.
InfoTrack Australia search results give you that verification from official, current sources rather than relying on assumption or information supplied by the client alone. For lawyers, this reduces the risk of acting on stale or incorrect ownership, entity or identity details, and creates a clear record that the right checks were run before advice was given or a transaction proceeded.
Rather than logging into InfoTrack separately, working out which search to run, and copying results back into the matter file, you simply ask in plain language and the All Agent identifies the right InfoTrack tool, confirms scope and cost with you first, and returns the result already linked to the matter. Every step is shown in a visible reasoning trail, so you can confirm what was searched, what it cost, and that the result is current, giving you a clear record for compliance and client reporting.
What is InfoTrack in the All Agent?
What is InfoTrack in the All Agent?
InfoTrack is a connected search service for Australian businesses, available inside LawY’s All Tab. Toggling on the InfoTrack feature, lets the All Agent run searches and place orders across all of InfoTrack's available services directly from your matter conversation without leaving LawY or switching to a separate platform.
InfoTrack MCP groups every available tool into functional service areas, including matter and order lookups, property and title searches, company and individual checks and property and vehicle valuations. The All Agent recognises your intent from plain language and routes your question to the correct InfoTrack tool automatically.
AT A GLANCE
One workspace - InfoTrack searches run inside the same conversation as your matter work and legal research, no switching platforms.
Grounded in your matter - search results are returned with source documents and can be previewed, downloaded and saved directly to your matter.
Calls the right tools automatically - the All Agent identifies which InfoTrack tool your question needs and routes to it for the right order.

What the InfoTrack Feature Draws On
What the InfoTrack Feature Draws On
When InfoTrack is toggled on, the All Agent draws on the following to answer your question:
InfoTrack Core: finds your firm's matters and orders by client reference, retrieves order status and transaction history, and downloads completed order files.
Matter documents and correspondence: the All Agent can read your balance sheet, contracts, correspondence and other documents to identify the parties, properties, companies or vehicles to search, rather than requiring you to type every detail manually.
Search and order services: Title Search, Plans and Dealings, Property Valuation, Vehicle Valuation, ASIC, AFSA Bankruptcy, PPSR, Property Enquiries, UBO, Risk Screening, and NSW Licences — all available in Australia. The All Agent calls the right one automatically based on your question.
Clarifying questions: where a search is ambiguous, missing key details, requires scope confirmation, or needs a client reference or cost approval before a chargeable order is placed, the All Agent asks rather than guessing.
Chargeable orders: many InfoTrack searches incur a cost. The All Agent confirms scope and cost with you before placing a chargeable order.
Model selector: choose your preferred AI model from the toolbar. For multi-search requests covering several parties or properties at once, you can check the reasoning trail to confirm every requested search is executed, regardless of model selected.
How to Use the All Agent with InfoTrack MCP App - Step by Step
How to Use the All Agent with InfoTrack MCP App - Step by Step
Step 1 — Log into your InfoTrack Account
Before using InfoTrack in the All Agent, you need to have an Australian InfoTrack account. Log in to your InfoTrack account.
Step 2 — Connect InfoTrack to LawY
Once you have an InfoTrack account, log into LawY and go to Account Settings → Integrations.
Locate InfoTrack and connect.
Step 3 — Open the All tab and Toggle on InfoTrack
Open the matter you are working on from the Matter List. From the matter toolbar, select All.
Click + in the box and toggle on InfoTrack. Toggle on Research as well if your question also needs legal research. The All Agent only calls a tool when your query needs it, so you stay in control of what it uses.
Step 4 — Filter Your Data Source
Click + New to start a new conversation. You can choose to Chat about this matter, Chat about a document, or Chat about a folder to narrow the AI's focus. Previous searches and conversations are listed below for easy access.
Option | Best used when… |
Chat about this matter | You need a broad overview of the entire matter (default setting) |
Chat about a document | You know the specific document(s) to draw from |
Chat about a folder | The matter is well organised into named folders, and you want to draw on information from that folder/s |
Step 5 — Choose your model
InfoTrack works with all of the AI models. Select your preferred AI Model — ChatGPT Instant, ChatGPT Thinking, Claude Sonnet, or Claude Opus.
Step 6 — Type your question
Type your request in plain language. The Agent recognises paraphrases (“do a company search on Acme” is treated the same as “ASIC extract on Acme”). For example:
“Conduct searches of the properties, companies and vehicles in this matter.”
“Conduct searches and valuations of all properties listed in the balance sheet.”
“Conduct bankruptcy and other searches of the parties in this matter.”
Step 7 — Answer any clarifying questions
The All Agent may ask clarifying questions before running the search. Common questions include:
Which searches do you want to proceed with now? (confirming the search list before collecting matching details for each one)
Property valuation: the requested order will cost $28.47. Do you wish to proceed?
Please confirm you would like to perform an ASIC search for xxx Pty Limited with ACN xxx xxx xxx.
To run the PPSR search, please confirm the required declaration: 'I declare that I am undertaking the search for an authorised purpose in accordance with section 172 of the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (Cth).
ANSWER ONCE
The clarifying questions and your responses are saved in the reasoning for that session.
Step 8 — Watch the All Agent work
The All Agent shows its reasoning step by step, in real time. The trail lets you review:
How it worked — analysing your question, dispatching searches, fetching matter documents, and generating result documents.
What it checked — existing matter documents, identifiers, and prior orders, alongside any legal research performed for the same question.
What it confirmed with you — clarifying questions asked and the answers given, including missing data, search method, cost approvals before chargeable orders, and required declaration.
What it ran — each InfoTrack search and whether it completed, failed, or was skipped.
The final outcome — a status summary separating what was completed from what was skipped or not completed, with reasons.
Each step is clearly labelled, automatically marked Complete on finishing, and can be collapsed at any time, giving you full control over the interface.
TRANSPARENT BY DESIGN
Every search and answer leaves a reviewable trail, so you always know how it was produced. You can see whether an InfoTrack search completed, was skipped, or is waiting on a cost or declaration confirmation, and whether an answer draws on your matter documents, InfoTrack results, or general reasoning. That visibility gives you confidence in the output and a clear audit record when you need one.
Step 9 — Review the response
The All Agent returns a structured response with the search results and links to the underlying documents. Click any link to go directly to the result. Review all search results carefully before use in court documents or client communications.
Step 10 — Preview, download or save the document
Once searches complete, preview the results, then download the documents as needed, or save them individually or as a group to the matter file in your cloud storage provider (currently OneDrive/SharePoint, Google Drive, or Dropbox).
Using InfoTrack Test Data: Free Demo Searches
Using InfoTrack Test Data: Free Demo Searches
InfoTrack lets you rehearse a search workflow at no cost, but only within InfoTrack's official test data demo scope. A demo search behaves like a real order and returns the same style of result. Free testing is limited to the test data inputs listed below, run under a demo client reference (DEMO-001, DEMO-002 or DEMO-003). Any search outside that scope is charged, even under a demo reference.
The golden rule — scope controls cost
A demo client reference is required for free testing, but it is not sufficient on its own. A search outside the InfoTrack test data scope runs live and is charged even under DEMO-001, DEMO-002 or DEMO-003.
Use a documented test data input together with a demo client reference.
Always let the All Agent confirm scope and cost before it places the order. Only approve when it shows demo or no cost.
Anything outside the test data scope, or any real matter reference, is a live, chargeable order.
How to run a free demo search
Open the All tab on any matter and turn on InfoTrack (click + in the toolbar).
Type the search in plain language, naming a documented demo test input (see the table below).
Give a demo client reference: DEMO-001, DEMO-002 or DEMO-003.
Check the All Agent's cost confirmation shows demo or no cost, then approve. Review the returned result. Shortcut: Hancock Prospecting Pty Limited (ACN 008 676 417) is the universal demo entity and works across Title, ASIC and PPSR demo searches. For a title smoke test use title reference 1863/1000001.
Free Demo test data
The most useful documented test inputs by service are as follows:
Service | Free demo input |
Title search (by reference) | 1863/1000001 (LOT 1863 IN DEPOSITED PLAN 1000001 AT QUEEN'S SQUARE, LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA SYDNEY, PARISH OF ST JAMES, COUNTY OF CUMBERLAND) |
ASIC company extract | A.C.M.E. Pty Ltd 051 954 940 (on file); JB Hi-Fi Group Pty Ltd 093 114 286 (on file); Hancock Prospecting Pty Limited 008 676 417 (on file, current, historical); John Holland Pty. Limited 004 282 268 (on file); Bunnings Building Supplies Pty. Ltd. 008 672 179 (current, historical) |
PPSR organisation grantor | Hancock Prospecting Pty Limited ABN 69 008 676 417; Bunnings Building Supplies Pty. Ltd. ACN 008 672 179 |
These prompts are sufficient for an initial demo of LawY with InfoTrack. Going beyond them will incur a charge.

More information
For the current, authoritative free demo scope and setup, see InfoTrack's Getting Started guide. InfoTrack maintains the definitive free demo list, so check there for any updates.
Moving from demo to live
Demos and training always use the DEMO matters and test data above — never real client data.
Replace the DEMO-00x reference with the real matter reference (e.g. CONV-26-0155).
Use the real client, property or entity details, not the test inputs.
Confirm the quoted cost before approving; live orders bill at the normal rate.
Complete client authority (VOI / CAF) and cost disclosure before ordering on the client's behalf.
All Agent with InfoTrack Best Practices
All Agent with InfoTrack Best Practices
Use the All tab as a single destination to run InfoTrack searches and orders alongside your matter work and legal research.
Turn on InfoTrack. Toggle it on via + before submitting your question; toggle on Research too if the same question needs legal research.
Be specific in your prompt. Name the search type, the party or property, and key identifying details (DOB, address, ACN, rego).
Engage with the clarifying questions. They reduce rework, particularly for owner-name searches, individual searches with multiple matches, requests that could route to more than one service group, or confirming cost before a chargeable order.
Use the visible reasoning to check what ran. Follow the step-by-step trail to confirm every requested search actually completed, and that no search was silently skipped or left awaiting confirmation.
Verify every result. Confirm the correct party or property was matched, check the data is current rather than cached, and review the format before filing or issuing to a client.
